holistic hormone & cycle coaching by Rianne
Feel like yourself again, every week of your cycle.
I help you get back to a life where pain, symptoms and vague complaints don't run your day-to-day.
Does any of this sound like you?
You eat well, you live fairly healthy and you've been to the doctor, and still something is off. Maybe it looks like this:
Your cycle tells you how the rest of your body is doing
Most of us learned that a period is something to push through. Something to hide or be ashamed about.
But your period is the result of everything that happened in the weeks before it, so it's one of the clearest signals your body gives you. And once you understand what your body is trying to tell you, everything makes so much sense.
What could your body be telling you?
Tap what you notice
What it can mean
Your progesterone may drop too early, so the second half of your cycle is shorter than it should be. Long-term stress can play a role here.
Worth checking
The pill and a few other things can cause spotting too, so it's good to rule those out. Bleeding between periods or after sex is always worth getting checked.
What it can mean
Your body makes substances called prostaglandins that help your womb contract. More of them can mean stronger cramps, and often loose stools during your period.
Worth checking
Pain that stops you from doing daily things, or keeps getting worse, is worth getting checked. Sometimes something like endometriosis is behind it.
What it can mean
The length of your cycle mostly depends on when you ovulate. Long or unpredictable cycles often mean ovulation comes late, or sometimes not at all. Stress, eating too little and over-training can all push it back.
Worth checking
PCOS and your thyroid can also be behind it, so it's good to have those checked, especially if you've missed three periods in a row and you're not pregnant.
What it can mean
Sometimes there's too little progesterone to balance your oestrogen, so the lining builds up more. Heavy periods can also slowly drain your iron.
Worth checking
Fibroids, adenomyosis, your thyroid or a bleeding disorder can cause heavy periods too. If you soak through a pad or tampon every hour, or bleed for longer than 7 days, get it checked, and have your iron checked as well.
These are possibilities, not a diagnosis. Every body is different, and that's exactly why I look at your whole picture.

Check my hormone patternHi, I'm Rianne
For years I had an eight-day heavy period every month and I just accepted it, because nobody ever told me it wasn't normal. Until my hair was falling out, I had no energy, my nails were brittle and I found out I had a severe iron deficiency. And on top of that I burned out, and realised I had been pushing through mood swings, cramps and exhaustion for years, thinking that was just who I was.
Today my body brings a stability I never thought was possible. My PMS and cramps are gone, and so are the random energy leaks and the brain fog, which would have sounded crazy to me before.
Getting my period became something I can actually feel good about, and I'm so angry it took that long. So now I share what I wish someone had told me 15 years ago, without the fear, the drama or the 47-step morning routine nobody follows.
